The Artemis Fund's 2025 Year in Review
December 18, 2025

By The Artemis Fund
The Artemis Fund believes technology can create prosperity for all. With offices in New York, Texas, Massachusetts, and Nevada, Artemis leads seed rounds for companies creating resilient families, individuals, and businesses across the US.
As we close out 2025, weâre reflecting on a year defined by conviction, discipline, and deep partnership. While AI dominated headlines and absorbed a disproportionate share of attention and capital, what we saw on the ground was more nuanced: enduring companies continue to be built around enduring human needs.
In a market shaped by rapid technological acceleration and continued capital selectivity, we leaned into partnering early with battle-tested founders solving high-friction problems in large, overlooked markets. For the strongest companies, AI was not the product, but an accelerant: a tool to deliver care more efficiently, enable commerce more intelligently, and strengthen the systems families and businesses rely on every day.
Alongside mission-aligned LPs and trusted co-investors, we focused on building an enduring seed portfolio grounded in resilient business models, operational rigor, and founder integrity.
Hereâs a look at the deals, trends, and lessons that shaped 2025.

Hunting for Exceptional Founders
Hunting for Exceptional Founders
Our conviction in 2025 was fueled by an exceptionally strong pipeline. We met founders tackling problems spanning fintech infrastructure, care delivery, commerce enablement, and the future of work, often where legacy systems are strained and incentives are misaligned.
In 2025:
- 31% of the founders we met were building in care tech
- 21% were focused on future of work and productivity
- 19% were building commerce enablement
- 11% were in fintech, with the remainder spanning consumer, enterprise SaaS, and emerging categories
Looking ahead, our current watchlist of pre-seed companies approaching seed includes:
- 25% Care Tech: Advancing clinical efficiency, patient engagement, and health system innovation
- 23% Commerce Enablement: Improving how businesses acquire customers, manage operations, and scale digitally
- 23% Future of Work & Productivity: Reshaping collaboration, automation, and operational leverage
- 15% Fintech: Redefining financial infrastructure, access, and capital flows

Venture capital remains a reputation and relationship-driven business. In selective markets, founders and co-investors alike are choosing partners not just for capital, but for judgment, follow-through, and alignment over time.
In 2025, we continued to deepen relationships with co-investors who share our belief in disciplined underwriting, founder-first partnership, and the power of early conviction. These partnerships are built deal by deal, through rigorous diligence, transparent communication, and a shared commitment to helping founders navigate early inflection points.
This year alone, we helped drive $55M to our alpha pack, fueling companies across care, commerce, fintech, and industrial infrastructure.
We were proud to partner in 2025 with new co-investors, including: City Light, Human Ventures, Threshold, Alumni Ventures, Felicis, Torch Capital, Bright Pixel, Red Bike, Clocktower Ventures, Google/Alphabet, Sand Hill East, Block, Hard Yaka Ventures, and A100x.
As we look ahead, we remain focused on being the kind of partner founders and co-investors seek out early and align with for long term value.
Deepening The Artemis Ecosystem
Deepening The Artemis Ecosystem
In 2025, we hosted the first-ever Artemis Hunters Summit in Los Angeles, bringing together 70 founders and 25 investors representing 20 funds for three days of candid conversation and meaningful connection across the Artemis ecosystem.
From a kickoff reception under a California sunset to a full day of founder-focused programming, the Summit created space unique to Artemis for honest insight and shared momentum. Sessions featured leaders like Jeff Glueck (Salvo Health), Alisha Loos (Artemis Finance Operating Partner), and Melissa Mash (Dagne Dover), covering topics ranging from navigating uncertainty and avoiding early financial missteps to platform-specific content strategy and building brands that thrive in an AI-driven landscape.

Morning yoga, kintsugi, and countless hallway conversations reminded us what makes the Artemis community special: grounded leadership, generous wisdom, and a shared commitment to building with intention. We canât wait to reconvene for the second annual Artemis Hunters Summit in Austin, May 18-20, 2026.
Building the Firm
Building the Firm
This year, we welcomed our newest huntress, Julie Pulda, who joined Artemis as Principal. Julie brings years of experience investing in mission aligned funds across climate, womenâs health, financial inclusion, and systems change, along with a deep LP perspective backing emerging managers. Her belief in early, conviction-driven capital, her commitment to financial rigor, and her deep analytical experience make her a natural fit for the next chapter of Artemis. Read more about Julie here.

In parallel, we continued to invest in platform and storytelling as a core part of how we scale our support for founders and the venture capital ecosystem. In 2025, we significantly broadened our advisor network and expanded our content efforts through various series:
- Artemis Warrior Guides, deep dives on what it takes to build enduring, once-in-a-generation companies
- Tip of the Spear, highlighting the expert operators and advisors within the Artemis network
- Platform Perspectives, spotlighting leaders shaping VC platform functions across firms
- Emerging VC Talent, featuring the next generation of investment leaders across the ecosystem
These efforts reflect our belief that sharing practical insight strengthens the entire venture landscape.
Lessons from 2025
Lessons from 2025
If 2024 was about resilience, 2025 was about refinement. AI accelerated, but fundamentals still mattered. Capital was available, but only for companies with clarity, momentum, and disciplined execution.
We saw firsthand that founders who treated their investors as true partners, focused relentlessly on unit economics and cash flow, and built with intention (not urgency) were best positioned to weather uncertainty and compound progress.
For us, 2025 reinforced a simple truth: enduring companies are built by founders who have deep experience with the problem theyâre solving and the system theyâre operating within.
Looking Ahead
Looking Ahead
In 2026, we will continue to build on the lessons, relationships, and conviction sharpened over Funds I and II. We look forward to deepening our work backing battle-tested founders across care tech, commerce enablement, fintech, and the future of work, while building a top-performing, world-changing seed fund alongside our founders, LPs, and partners.
We believe once in a generation companies will be built by unexpected founders. If that sounds like you, pitch us here!
